About me

Forty Years in Real Estate, and It Started Almost by Accident

I grew up on the Gulf Coast and earned my real estate license at 19, hoping to land a job managing a beachfront condo. By the time my license arrived, the job was gone. So I found a homebuilder hiring a sales agent, and a four-decade career began.
I earned my Florida broker’s license at 23, and at 25, after a builder dared me to “go do it yourself,” my contractor’s license. Today, through Cristy On The Coast, I’m mentoring, teaching and writing to help new agents build careers they’re proud of.

Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions about the book, the workbook or working with me? Here are the ones I hear most often.

It's written for newly licensed agents, people thinking about getting licensed and anyone in their first few years who feels like nobody showed them what to do next. Experienced agents who mentor others will find it useful too, especially as a resource to share with new team members.

The book explains the why: the lessons, stories and mistakes I've learned from over forty years. The workbook is the how: a 100-day action plan with exercises, worksheets and trackers that help you put those lessons into practice. You can use either on its own, but they work best together.

The principles of building a real estate business, like working your sphere, managing your time and budgeting for commission income, apply almost anywhere. Laws, licensing rules and brokerage policies do vary by state, so always check local requirements with your broker.

Yes. I work with brokerages, real estate associations, training programs and individual agents. Topics include your first 100 days in the business, new construction, running your business like a CEO and building a career on integrity. Reach out through the Contact page to talk about what you need.

I am, primarily by referral and with clients I know I can serve well. Helping a family find the right home still gives me a rush I haven't found anywhere else. If you're buying or selling on the Gulf Coast, I'd love to hear from you.
